Synthesis is a concert series weaving the visual and aural senses by pairing visual artists with musicians of varying styles and disciplines. Musicians perform live with projected films, video art and installations created by leading South Florida visual artists. Each project will be curated by Southern Land Films, with musical direction from Miami based composer/conductor Sam Hyken. The variety of genres will reach a broad audience and represent the spectrum of culture embodied in South Florida. These concerts will be filmed and documented, which can be further distributed to public broadcast through various media partners.

Synthesis is co-produced by Sam Hyken and Victor Muniz & Peter Vahan of Southern Land Films (“Artist to Artist” MOCA/WPBT2 mini-series). Artists, designers, musicians and motion picture professionals join forces to inspire South Florida and cultivate collaborative vision.
